BALAJI MANDIR, BHILAI

Andhra Sahitya Samiti ,Bhilai  constructed the Lord  Venkateswara Temple (Balaji Mandir) at sector-5 Bhilai. 

Bhilai Steel Plant management allotted land for this purpose. Andhra Sahitya Samiti  is deeply indebted to the Bhilai Steel Plant authorities for the genuine interest  taken by them as well as those who came forward voluntarily with the donations for the construction of temple. Now the temple stands out in all grandeur against the background at the azure sky.  Beckoning all the devotees of the Lord and attracting crowds from near and far.

Construction of the temple started in 1971. It was a treat to watch Vigraha pratishtapana at Balaji Mandir on 30th May 1974.  Rajagopuram was constructed few years later.

The temple's activities are  managed by Andhra sahitya samiti,, sector -5 ,Bhilai.

Makara Sankranti on        14th  January

Rama navami  in                April
Temple's Anniversary on    30^th May
Janmashtami    in               August
Dusshera         in                October
Temple timings:
6 AM to 11 AM and 5 PM to 9PM on week days ,
6 AM to 12 noon and 5 PM to 9.30 PM on saturdays
6 am to 12 noon and 5 PM to 9 PM Sundays.
